If you visit LA from December to March, chances are you will catch some rainy days during your trip. Not to worry though, as the wonderful city of Los Angles has a plethora of activities to offer its tourists and keep them entertained and, more importantly inside and dry.
For instance, if you are passionate about Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, then you could plan inside tours of the Hollyhock House or the Anderton Court Shops. Even though the rest of the houses designed by Wright are not open to the public, you will surely spend several quality hours admiring the work of the most influential architect of the first half of the 20th century.
After a couple of hours of touring the inside of Wright’s houses, you will surely enjoy a nice, warm cup of tea or coffee. Los Angeles is full of wonderful and cozy informal places where you can recharge and enjoy the company of your friends or family. The Rose Tree Cottage is an especially great place where you can experience a little piece of Britain: the inviting scent of warm scones, the delicate aroma of the roses, the traditional English-style Afternoon Tea events, and the soft dulcet tones, all guarantee you will have a wonderful time. However, if you are more of a natural person, then perhaps the Rose Garden Tea Room at Huntington would be a better choice.
If you consider yourself an active individual, then how about you go to the place that has most of your favorite activities indoors? If shopping is your thing, then you could spend the rest of the day at Van’s Skateboard Park. In case you are looking for more energetic activities to do inside, then how does a bit of indoor climbing at the Rock Reaction or the Rock Gym sound? If you love to relax and recharge your batteries in nature, then the Huntington art galleries and library are also a nice choice for any rainy day.
Most people prefer spending the rest of a drizzly day sitting in their hotel room and watching TV or a movie. However, because it gets boring after a couple of hours, a suggestion would be to take advantage of the wonderful and unique movie experience LA has to offer. The Cinerama Dome and the historic Grauman’s Chinese are two of the places in Los Angeles where movie watching is taken to an entirely new level.
